History

WILMS Transport GmbH is a member of the WILMS group.

Since 1 January 2010 the transport company has worked not only as an exclusive shipper for the WILMS group but also a haulage contractor for other companies in trade and industry. The objective is to establish WILMS Transport in the market as a haulage contractor.

The company was created from the transport division of WILMS Tiefkühl-Service (TKS) in Niederkrüchten. TKS business previously was divided between the trade, service and transport sectors.

Since the late 90s the transport sector has continued to develop into an independent mainstay and a further key focus of business. The reason for founding the new WILMS Transport company is to achieve more transparency in the range of services.

WILMS Transport covers a temperature range from minus 25°C to plus 18°C. Plus, we use our own transition points or those operated by associated companies throughout Germany. Several locations serve as a nodal point for the delivery or receipt of consignments to or from other European countries.

Shareholders are WILMS Tiefkühl-Service GmbH on the one hand and Markus Wilms and Armin Feemers on the other – plus both are executive director shareholders of TKS. The managing director of WILMS Transport GmbH is Torsten Dietrich.
